Additional Information: Alyssa Danziger is a Senior Associate Attorney at Katz Chwat, PC practicing predominantly in the areas of trusts and estates and corporate law. Alyssa worked with Neil Katz and Lara Chwat at Katz, Bernstein & Katz, LLP before joining them at the new firm, starting shortly after her graduation from law school. She assists all types of clients with their estate planning documents, from those who need asset protection for Medicaid planning, to those who need to explore the utilization of trusts for tax planning. She also works with clients in the field of estate administration, making the transition of one’s passing as efficient as possible. Finally, she handles corporate transactional matters for clients, which includes the drafting of buy-sell agreements, as well as the facilitation of mergers and acquisitions for small businesses.
In May of 2015, Alyssa received her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. While in law school, she was a member of the Honors Program and the Touro Law Review, where she served as Notes & Comments editor, assisting other students in publishing their articles. Alyssa’s own comment, “The Facebook Status that Sparked an SEC Investigation: Regulation Fair Disclosure and the Growth of Social Media,” was published in the Touro Law Review in October of 2014.
Alyssa received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and minors in French and International Business with Language from the University of Delaware in 2012. She graduated magna cum laude with an Honors degree, and served as Vice President of the Golden Key International Honor Society.
Alyssa is a member of the New York State, Nassau County, and Suffolk County Bar Associations. She has co-authored articles published in the Nassau Lawyer, including “All in the Family: Who Has Authority to Make Health Care Decisions?” and “Estate Planning to Ensure That Digital Assets Do Not Disappear in the Cloud.” She was also chosen as a 2019 recipient of The Long Island Business News 30 Under 30 award.
